We conduct an inspection, assessment and design a targeted plan based on our IPM – Integrated Pest Management approach. IPM uses current pest control methods to eliminate pests with the lowest possible hazard to people, your property and the environment.
The treatment we suggest would depend on many factors, such as your location, the pest’s habits and lifecycle, time of the year, as well as any unique circumstances. We offer tailored solutions to each customer and apply the least toxic, yet effective treatments first. The safety of your family, children and pets is our #1 priority.
Brody Brothers Pest Control has been family-owned and operated for more than 30 years with experience you can count on. Your pest issues will be well taken care of.
We have the right products and services to fit all your home or business needs. If you are looking for a reliable pest management company to help keep pests away year around, take a look at our home protection plan.
We use the most effective and least toxic products that will solve your pest problem. We have a variety of materials in our arsenal, including natural and reduced-risk products, but there is no single, universal product that we use – it all depends on the pest and other circumstances.
It’s important to note that there is no pesticide that is non-toxic. If there was, it wouldn’t kill any pest. However, we do our best to minimize your exposure to toxins and indoor air pollution, while doing our job effectively.
On rare occasions and only with certain pests (e.g. fleas), could there be a need for family members to leave the home. In most situations, you can stay.
Back to topEverything. When we perform an inspection, we are not just looking for pests but also for the places where they live and feed. For a successful treatment it’s important to identify any conditions that would support or attract a pest.
Some of the indoor areas we might inspect include underneath dishwashers, behind stoves, unfinished parts of the home like crawl spaces, attics, basements, garages and any other areas of concern.
While inspecting the exterior perimeter of your home, we specifically look for pest entry points that we can seal up. We also inspect secondary areas like sheds, pools, mulch beds, playsets, mailboxes or any other area that could be a problem.
Generally no. We perform quarterly service to help prevent pests that might be tempted to enter your home due to seasonal weather changes in Maryland. This helps us stop the pest infestation before the issue gets worse.
We recommend that the interior is checked once a year for any pests, especially termites. This service is usually performed in the winter months when pest pressure is low outside and it gives our technician time to take a good look at the interior of your home.
We understand that each home is different, and we’ll be happy to tailor a plan to better meet your needs.
*Only for customers on our Home Protection Plan

Back to topWe guarantee that you will experience a huge reduction in the mosquito and/or tick populations on your property (85-90 percent) if you use our services. If a seasonal contract holder has a mosquito or tick problem between his/her regularly scheduled treatment service, we will come out to take care of it.
Back to topOur formula dries within about 30 minutes after deployment and binds to surfaces, making it hard to be washed away. Furthermore, the targeted areas are the undersides of leaves. Both of these facts make it hard for rain to be a significant problem in reducing treatment effectiveness.
Back to topWhile it is true that mosquitoes are not held back by fences, our treatment creates a virtual barrier that strongly discourages mosquitoes from entering. Given that mosquitoes are poor fliers, if they do enter, they are likely to rest on a shrub along the outskirts of your property and die shortly after landing to rest or feed on plant glucose.
Back to topWe use both natural and synthetic products, all of which are registered with the EPA.
Back to topFor our synthetic formulas, children and pets should be kept out of the yard for about 30 minutes after treatment. Although the official instructions for our natural treatment allow for children and pets to be outside during deployment, we recommend keeping them inside until about 30 minutes afterward as well.
Back to topOur treatment will not harm your landscaping plants. In general, we try to avoid spraying any edible garden vegetables. That said, SWAT Team treatment employs products often used in commercial agriculture. Just as it is widely recommended to properly wash produce that was grown commercially and purchased from a grocery store, so too we recommend that you properly wash your garden vegetables before consumption.
Back to topYes. We have obtained all legally required licenses, and we are insured.
Back to topWe will remind you at least 24 hours before your previously scheduled treatment. If you need to reschedule for any reason but forget to do so prior to our email or call, let us know at this point.
Back to topNo, you don’t have to be home. We will simply leave you a notice informing you that we have completed your scheduled service.
Back to topOnce you have established a contract with us, there is no need to continuously schedule our service every 21 days. We will send you an email to notify you of when we will come to administer your treatment, and we will leave a notice on your door afterward (if you are not at home at the time).
Back to topAbsolutely not. Talk to a doctor if you are worried you, someone else, or a pet has contracted a vector-borne disease. We do not claim to be a definitive source of medical information, and we do not claim to have complete or authoritative lists or descriptions of symptoms or information on treatment.
